A Warm Welcome from Our Principal

As an aspiration, hope is both our goal and our motive. In this way hope is the object of our educational activity and the focus of our faith. Hope, as an emotion, a way of thinking, a disposition and a virtue, generates optimism, respect, trust, support, courage, and persistence. It resists anxiety, despair, cynicism, fatalism and relativism.

Our whole approach is to activate hope in our students and allow them to grow this critically and reflectively, to develop and apply their individual agency and capability to face the challenges and opportunities of life and to effect change in their own lives and in the world around them. We seek to support them to build on hope, to be empowered by hope and to engender hope, and above all to understand that the source of all hope is found in God Himself.

At Brindabella we incorporate this aspiration and intent into the learning journey of students from the very beginning. Each student is seen as an individual and as an individual learner. We work together in a partnership of educators, families, and students to build a positive and strength-based learning pathway to provide each student with a balance of support and challenge to grow their learning successes and achievements. Students are guided through specific and targeted learning strategies to build their learning capacities. We have high expectations of all students and believe they are capable of much more than they realise. We want the best for your child and for each one to realise the promise they contain; each child is unique and each one is our hope for the future. We consider it a privilege and an honour to take this journey with them.
